OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

The Chattahoochee National Forest provides ample opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and ATV driving. Tubing, canoeing, and kayaking on the Chestatee or Etowah rivers will thrill and challenge enthusiasts of all skill levels.

The famous Appalachian Trail, the footpath that stretches from Georgia’s Springer Mountain to Maine, begins just east of Dahlonega.

Anglers will find world-class trout fishing in the many Lumpkin County creeks, including heavily-stocked Dick’s Creek (Less then seven miles from us), and year-round fishing in the Etowah River and Yahoola Creek.
