4th of JULY & FIRECRACKER 5/10k

Join us on July 4th to celebrate the Fourth  in Dahlonega on the historic town square. The day begins with the Firecracker 5k/10k!

Do you remember being a child and what the 4th meant –hot dogs, watermelon, parades, flags waving and fun with family and friends while you waited until it got dark enough for the fireworks?

You can revisit that feeling as you watch the skies with anticipation then the swoosh of the rocket and the ooohs and ahhhs at the burst of light.

Dahlonega  hosts a schedule of outdoor concerts (First Fridays) in our beautiful Hancock Park.

This outdoor event is free to the public and is every first Friday May through October.

Arrive early, enjoy excellent downtown shopping, and pick up your picnic from any of downtown's popular restaurants.

Gold Rush Days will be  held  Oct. 20, 2018  when thousands come to see fall colors peaking and celebrate Dahlonega's 1828 discovery of gold.

300+ art and craft exhibitors gather around the Public Square and Historic District in support of this annual event when vistors join in the fun and excitement!

It has been voted one of the Top 20 Events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society. MARK THE DATE: October 20, 2018
