frequently asked questions

We’re delighted you are considering staying with us and we want to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. The following are common questions asked by our guests:

  • Check in: 3:00 PM. 

  • Check out:  By 11:00 am. Make sure all doors are locked. Leave all used linens in a bundle in each room.  We ask that lights, fans and AC are off.   We would appreciate if you would sign the guest book!

  • Guest Interaction: We are available to our guests while still offering them personal space. We don’t want to infringe on their ability to enjoy our amenities. We know that our guests want to enjoy those spaces on their own terms. We can be reached via text or voice if you need anything, but otherwise we give them the time they need to explore Dahlonega Hideaway Havens and enjoy the ambience.

  • Keys: We use electronic locks which each guest given a code exclusive to their stay

  • What bath/bed linens and amenities are provided? Bed linens, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, spa towels, hairdryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion starter samples are provided as well as robes/slippers for use during your stay.

  • What to bring: Each suite is fully furnished, and the kitchen comes stocked with cookware and dinnerware. Beds have mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, blankets, and pillows. 

  • Parking: Let us know if you will be traveling with more the one automobile. We can direct you to where the second vehicle can be parked.  Parking is labeled for each of our suites.

  • Is the road leading to Hideaway Havens paved? Yes, our road is paved. Keep in mind we are located in the Georgia Mountains, so they are steep and at night with no street lights it is dark.

  • What if I leave an item behind?  We understand that items are forgotten from time to time.   We can return the item if you provide us with an address - We ask that you pay shipping charge if you request express shipping.

  • Fire Pit Usage: PLEASE be smart and safe with the fire pit. A water hose is provided and clearly visible. Use appropriately sized logs, Don’t overhang long logs. It can get VERY dry here and leaves catch fire easily. Never leave the fire pit with a fire going

  • Hot Tubs: The Hot tub at Hideaway Haven is in the pergola visible in the knoll. The Hot Tub at Roscommon is located on the Terrace level. Bathrobes and Spa towels are provided.  

  • Pets:We are sorry but we do not allow pets.

  • Smoking: We are 100% non-smoking.  If you must smoke, Trahlyta Pond is adjacent to our property. PLEASE crush out your cigarettes completely and throw them away inside the trash receptacles.  

  • Thermostat: The havens are heated and cooled with NEST thermostat. We like to leave the thermostats on 72 in Summer and 68 in Winter. A fireplace can quickly heat the room, the best way to lower the temperature is to crack a window.  

  • Do cell phones work in the area? Yes.  

  • Is there internet access? Yes. Keep in mind the nearest switch is two miles away hence the typical MPS is 10 - 12

  • Where is the Trahlyta Trace Pond? Within sight of Hideaway Haven. This is an excellent spot for fishing and picnicking.  Because we share this land with other owners, please be respectful of others using the Pavilion. There is a sun-up to sun-down usage policy for this area. To access from Roscommon Cabin, turn right out of the driveway and follow Ranch Mountain Drive to the bottom.
